The core program

Eight modules. One steady path forward.

Each module is built around a real clinical skill — not a lecture. You move at your own pace, return to any module anytime, and build a toolkit that works in actual moments of struggle.

What you'll work through
Each module builds on the last. Module 1 is always free — no signup, no credit card. Modules 2–8 are included in the core program.
1

Understanding your pattern

Make sense of what's actually happening — without shame or self-blame. Learn the brain science behind compulsive use and start identifying what's driving the urge.

2

The shame cycle

Understand why shame keeps the cycle going rather than breaking it — and learn the self-compassion interrupt that changes how you respond after a slip.

3

Mapping your triggers

Identify the four types of triggers — emotional, situational, relational, and physical — and use an interactive tracker to build your personal trigger map.

Core program
4

Riding the wave

Learn that urges peak and pass — and practice three regulation tools you can use in real moments: urge surfing, box breathing, and 5-4-3-2-1 grounding.

5

Designing your environment

Use the friction principle to make the behavior harder to reach. Complete a 16-item environment audit and build if-then plans for your highest-risk scenarios.

6

When you slip up

Learn the four myths that turn a slip into a spiral, work through a step-by-step 24-hour protocol, and build your personal relapse response plan before you need it.

7

Building your support system

Map your four rings of support, use a three-level disclosure guide to learn how to talk about it, and build your personal support network in an interactive tool.

8

What recovery actually looks like

Shift from shame to identity. Clarify your values, design a full life plan across five domains, and complete the program with a final reflection on what's changed.

Every tool included in the program
The program isn't just reading — it's working. Each interactive tool is built directly into the module, usable in real moments, and returns to whenever you need it.

Trigger tracker

Log urges in real time with type, intensity, and pattern detection.

Urge surfing tool

Animated wave that decays in real time as you ride the urge through.

Box breathing timer

Animated breathing circle for nervous system regulation — usable anywhere.

5-4-3-2-1 grounding

Step-by-step sensory grounding exercise to return to the present moment.

Environment audit

16-item checklist across phone, browser, bedroom, and high-risk times.

If-then plan builder

Build specific trigger-response plans for your highest-risk scenarios.

Slip log

Log relapses as data points — trigger type, intensity, and next-time plan.

Relapse plan

A pre-written personal protocol for the 24 hours after a slip.

Support network builder

Map the people in your support system across four rings.

Values clarification

Select and reflect on the values that make recovery worth it.

Full life plan

Design what goes in the space recovery creates — across five life domains.

Reflection prompts

Private, browser-stored prompts at the end of every module.

How it works
Eight weeks, one module at a time
Each module is designed to take about a week — time to read the lesson, practice the skill, and bring what you notice back to the next module's check-in. You set the pace.
1
Week 1

Understanding your pattern

Build foundational self-awareness and practice the pause before reacting.

2
Week 2

Breaking the shame cycle

Interrupt the shame spiral that keeps the behavior going.

3
Week 3

Mapping triggers

Build a personal map of what's actually driving the urge.

4
Week 4

Regulation toolkit

Practice three skills for moving through urges without acting on them.

5
Week 5

Environment redesign

Make real, one-time changes that reduce temptation automatically.

6
Week 6

Relapse response

Build a protocol for slips so they don't become spirals.

Week 7

Building connection

Map your support system and make one real disclosure.

Week 8

Identity & meaning

Define what recovery looks like for you — and what life you're building toward.

Is this program right for me?

This is a psychoeducational program — it teaches real clinical skills and builds self-awareness. It's not therapy, and it's worth being honest about when each is the right fit.

This program works well if...

  • You're ready to start building skills privately, at your own pace
  • You want structure and clinical grounding, not just willpower tips
  • You've tried to stop on your own and keep cycling back
  • You're curious about what's driving the behavior, not just how to stop it
  • You're already in therapy and want something to work through between sessions
  • You want a foundation before reaching out to a therapist

Consider therapy first if...

  • You're experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide — please reach out to 988 now
  • You're in active crisis in a relationship due to this behavior
  • You have significant trauma that you suspect is connected to the behavior
  • You're dealing with co-occurring addiction (alcohol, substances)
  • Previous attempts at self-guided recovery haven't moved the needle at all

In any of these cases, individual therapy with Frank may be the better starting point. The program will still be here when you're ready.

Common questions about the program
How long does each module take?
Most modules take 15–25 minutes to read through, plus time for the reflection prompts and interactive tools. The skill practice for the week adds a few minutes here and there as it comes up naturally. You can go faster or slower — there's no timer.
Do I have to do the modules in order?
The program is designed sequentially — each module builds on what came before. Module 2 references Module 1's skill, Module 4 builds on Module 3's trigger map, and so on. That said, you can jump to any module anytime, especially if you need something specific (Module 6's relapse protocol, for example) in a difficult moment.
Can I go back and redo a module?
Yes — that's exactly what lifetime access is for. Many people return to Module 6 (the relapse protocol) and Module 4 (the regulation tools) regularly. Recovery isn't linear and neither is this program. You haven't "used up" a module by reading it once.
What if I'm already working with a therapist?
The program works well alongside therapy — many people use it as structured homework between sessions. The trigger map from Module 3, the relapse plan from Module 6, and the life plan from Module 8 are all things you can bring directly into therapy conversations.
Is my information private? Will anyone see my responses?
Yes. All reflection prompts and interactive tool entries are stored only in your browser — they are never sent to a server, never stored in a database, and never visible to anyone else including Frank. Your account email is the only thing we hold, and it's never used for marketing.
What's the difference between this and just reading about recovery online?
Structure and skill practice. Reading about urge surfing is very different from actually using the interactive urge surfing tool during a real craving. The modules are sequenced to build on each other, each one ends with a specific skill to practice, and the check-in at the start of every module creates accountability to yourself. It's a program, not an article collection.
What if I buy it and it's not what I expected?
There's a 14-day satisfaction guarantee. If you complete the program and don't feel it was worth it, reach out within 14 days for a full refund — no questions asked. Module 1 is always free so you can try before you buy.

Ready to start?

Module 1 is completely free — no account, no credit card. See if this feels like the right fit before you commit to anything.
